We were staying at the local Hilton and they recommended the Purple Mango to us. Our experience of this restaurant was 1st class from start to finish. Not being local we had to call for directions and a member of staff kindly rang us back on his mobile to direct us in, amazing! When we arrived I was really pleased with the appearance of the place, very classy looking and extremely clean and tidy. The staff very pleasant and friendly, nothing too much trouble.

We ordered popadoms and they came with a variety of six dips (not the usual 3 in most places) some of which I've never seen and all where delicious. We ordered Chicken Pathia with Veg Pilau Rice, Garlic Naan, Special Vegetable Balti and Bombay Potatoes. Wow I've never tasted Veg Balti like it, the vast selection of vegetables was fantastic making each mouthful a delight. We consider ourselves curry connoisseurs and are very picky but we couldn't find any faults whatsoever. The sauces were rich and full of flavour, chicken very tender, and naan fresh and soft, just totally delicious.

We will certainly go back there if we are around the area again and would recommend it to anyone. Ah just one small thing, we did notice the menu didn't have madras or vindaloo which my hubby often orders, I would however imagine if you ask for it they would cook it for you. The menu does state they will amend the menu if required. Just to top off a lovely meal the bill came with a selection of Purple Mango personalised choccies, slices of fresh orange and lovely hot towels, something many Indian restaurants fail to do anymore. Hope you enjoy your time there as much as we did.
